With over $50 billion a year in gift cards being sold…you have to wonder - Who makes all those cards?  Production of gift cards in the U.S. is surprisingly limited to a select few plants who have made the (sizable) investments needed to become a “secured” facility.

This video from Atlantic Zeiser shows their company’s personalization capabilities with the Cardline Versa series. 

“High Speed” is the name of the game.  These machines do it all (except the actual printing!) - they encode the magnetic stripe with data; add variable DOD (drop-on-demand) inkjet data to match the encoded data; as well as application of scratch-off panels to cover PINS (personal identification numbers).

So where are these machines?  That answer depends on what your overall production needs would be:  Visa/MasterCard production?  Gift Cards?  Loyalty-VIP?  Short-runs under 1,000…or, large runs in the millions?  Special effects like Chromium or 3-D?
