This is the first magnetic stripe, stored value gift card ever produced. This card was run at Triad Color Graphics in Dallas and the job was managed by Bayliss Packaging for Neiman-Marcus in October 1994. Over $5mm worth of card were sold PRIOR to the end of December ‘94, resulting in Neimans asking for a rush re-order for that Holiday due to overwhelming demand.
This is where stored value gift cards started.
